Mick Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a slick lawyer who doesn’t have the swank office in a downtown skyscraper to back up his smooth lines, but that doesn’t stop him from wheeling and dealing like the slimiest defense attorney you’ve ever seen. His passion is winning the best deal for his clients, making money along the way and seeing that his daughter with ex-wife Maggie (Marisa Tomei) is properly tended to. His gimmick is that he rides around in an old Lincoln town car.
